Clauses that matter

1. Scope: concrete deliverables.
2. Out of scope: so extra requests become a new quote.
3. Fees and payment terms: deposit, milestones, due dates and late payment.
4. Revisions: how many rounds are included.
5. Intellectual property: when rights transfer (usually on full payment).
6. Confidentiality, if the client shares sensitive information.
7. Termination: notice and what is paid for work done.

Around the contract

• A proposal and quote before it.
• A change request when the scope moves.
• A delivery and acceptance note at the end, and polite payment reminders if needed.
